Pinterest Inc.’s former Chief Operating Officer Franscoise Brougher calls in lawsuit that she was fired on speaking about the company’s male run leadership in the month of April.

Brougher claims that after she complained to the human resource department about sexist comments, she was excluded from board meetings and eventually got fired by  the Chief Financial Officer. Addressing her concerns, Brougher said company chose to ” protect the comfort” of her male peers instead of “doing the hard work”.

Brougher also said about getting less paid than her male counterparts and was criticized for not being “compliant” or “collaborative” enough. The similar public complaint was faced by Pinterest in June by two women who worked on the company’s policy team and also claimed they were fired for speaking out on gender and racial discrimination prompting Chief Executive Officer Ben Silbermann to admit ” parts of our culture are broken.”  the company hired a team of outside lawyers to investigate.

According to Brougher said in complaint filed Tuesday in State court in San Francisco that, ” Her experience is common to women and minorities who do not have informal handshake relationships with their male colleagues and are regularly excluded from the rooms where decisions are made”.

Brougher claims the company tried to cover up her firing, which has cost her millions of dollars in lost earnings. Brougher was the top female executive at Pinterest. She is a well- known in Silicon Valley and had also worked at Google and Square.
