The popular Mahindra Thar SUV is currently available with attractive discounts in the month of June. Several dealerships across the country are offering a cash discount of ₹40,000 on the Mahindra Thar. Additionally, buyers can also avail exchange offers of up to ₹25,000 when purchasing the SUV. It’s worth noting that these offers are specifically applicable to the 4×4 AT version of the LX variant of the Thar SUV.
The Mahindra Thar recently achieved a significant milestone by crossing the 1 lakh sales mark. Since its introduction in October 2020, the SUV has garnered immense popularity, and Mahindra has successfully sold 1 lakh units of the Thar in just three years.
Currently, the Mahindra Thar is available in both manual and automatic transmission options, with a choice of petrol and diesel engines. The SUV comes with a starting price of ₹10.54 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base model, while the top-end variant is priced at ₹16.78 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Mahindra Thar RWD variant is offered in three different trims: RWD Diesel MT, LX RWD Diesel MT, and LX RWD Petrol AT. The SUV is available in two configurations: 4x4WD and RWD.
The RWD diesel variant of the Mahindra Thar is equipped with a 1.5-litre engine that produces a maximum power of 117 PS and a peak torque of 300 Nm. On the other hand, the petrol variant features a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine capable of generating 150 PS of maximum power and 320 Nm of peak torque.
