On Monday while President Trump’s briefly overtook daily news conferance, a shooting took place outside the white House, leading Secret Service to call the President away from the briefing room lectern.

While after the Secret Service said a uniformed Secret Service officer had shot a 51-year – old man who said he had gun and pointed an object at the officer, crouching in ” a shooter’s stance.” The man was striked by officer in torso.

The officer and the suspect both were taken to the hospital, but the Secret Service statement doesn’t specied the reason why the officer was taken. The incident took place at 17th St. and Pennsylvania Ave. near the white House complex.

D.C’s police department contacted to investigated the issue and said that the secret Service office of Professional Resposibility will review the officer’s actions, and washington.  Just after the Trump’s late press briefing, a Secret Service agent told the president that he needed to leave the room , and the doors to the briefing room were locked with members of the media inside.

” It seems to be very well under control. I’d like to thank the Secret Service for doing their always quick and very effective work, ” Trump said.

Trump said according to his knowledge the person was armed, but that it’s vague what led to the shooting or whether it was in any way related to the president. He added that the Secret Service is about to hold a brief meeting about it.

When Trump was asked whether the shooting “rattled” him, he replied casually.” I don’t know. Do I seem rattled?”

“The world’s has always been a grievous place. It’s not something that’s unique. You can take your memory back to the centuries, the world has been a dangerous place, very dangerous place, and it will continue, I guess, for a period of time.”

D.C.Fire and Emergency Medical Service spokesman Doug Buchanan confirmed that the Secret Service had called requesting assistence “for a patient with a gunshot wound” at around 5:55 p.m.

The adult male was critical, life-threatening injuries, Buchanan said, and transported to a nearby hospital.
