Released on May 5, 2023, The Kerala Story, which claims to be based on true events that happened with around 32,000 women hailing from Kerala, is an Indian movie, made in the Hindi language. The movie revolves around the unfortunate story of Hindu girl, who is somehow manipulated by a group of Islamic friends, which results in the conversion of the girl from a Hindu to a Muslim. Later, the girl was forced to join the ISIS terrorist organisation.
Ever since the filmmaker of the movie released its trailer, the movie received a lot of reactions from the public, some were positive while others seem to be a little bit critical. This resulted in the initiation of many protests against the movie, claiming that it should be boycotted and hence, banned.
However, amid all of the controversies and negativities surrounding it, the movie surprisingly performed quite well on the Box Office collection on Day 1, at least compared to other Bollywood movies that are released lately. According to the early box office estimation, the film was screened with sufficient digits.
According to the reports by Sacnilk, the film bagged Rs 7.50 crore on its opening day, although the actual amount is not confirmed yet. The star cast of the Movie involves Adah Sharma, Yogita Bohani, Siddhi Idnani, and Sonia Bakani in the lead roles.
