With a focus on making his team win the Copa Del Rey, Carlo Ancelotti delivered a post-match team talk that sent the Real Madrid dressing room wild following their 4-0 Clasico win over Barcelona.
In the dressing room following the win, Ancelotti said, “Pride, such pride to watch a game like this. Sitting on the bench watching games is a source of pride for me and everyone who works with you. First, congratulations, and second, I lied to you. This wasn’t the final, and this was the semi-final. We still have to play the final.” Carlo Ancelotti laughed after this statement.
Madrid reached its first Copa Del Rey final in nine years. The Galacticos will face off against CA Osasuna at the Estadio de La Cartuja for the trophy on the 6th of May. Vinicius Junior scored in first-half stoppage time before Karim Benzema grabbed his hat-trick. The Frenchman – Karim Benzema became the first Real Madrid player to score a hat-trick in the El Clasico at Camp Nou since Ferenc Puskas in 1963.
