The third Test match of the four-match series, the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2023, will be held in Indore from March 1 to March 5.

Team India successfully defended the Border Gavaskar Trophy after defeating Australia by six wickets in the second Test match and would like to go all-in on the WTC final in England. India also won the first Test by an innings and 132 runs, giving them a 2-0 lead in the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2023.

Because of India’s changing demographics, pitches vary from location to location. While red soil pitches predominate in the south, black soil is preferred in the north. While bounce can be a factor in the west, low surfaces in the east can pose a challenge to batsmen.

Red soil pitches typically have a lot of bounce, and spinners enjoy bowling on them because they are always in the game. However, if not adequately watered, red soil pitches tend to crumble quickly, making survival even more difficult for batsmen.

Black soil pitches can even cause unavoidable bounce. Batting on such pitches often becomes easy in the second session and as the ball wears out. Also, different parts of black soil pitches may behave differently.
