AS Roma have joined Manchester United in the round of 16 of the UEFA Europa League (2022/23 season). Roma defeated RB Salzburg by 2 goals to nil in the second leg to get the qualification. The last year’s UEFA Conference League winners AS Roma was trailing by 1-0 after the first leg against Salzburg.
Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho managed to win it in home and the Italian side will now be facing teams in the next round of the competition. AS Roma is in good form and in good shape not only in the Europa League but also Serie A. Roma is close to securing the Champions League spot for the next year.
AS Roma scored two to win it 2-1 in aggregate. Striker Andre Belotti and Argentine forward Paulo Dybala were the scorers who did all the work in the first half itself.
