Actor Nandamuri Taraka Ratna passed away on Saturday 18 February after suffering from a heart attack on 27 January. The actor was accompanying political leader Nara Lokesh on his ‘ Yuvagalam’ padayatra in Andhra Pradesh on January 27. During the padayatra,  Nandamuri collapsed due to a heart attack and was rushed to a hospital. He was in critical condition and was battling for survival. He was admitted to Bengaluru’s Narayana Hrudayalaya hospital and yesterday he passed away in the same hospital.

Nandamuri Taraka Ratna is the grandson of the former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh  NT Rama Rao. Nandamuri Taraka Ratna belonged to the NTR clan and like most members of the NTR clan he also became an actor, he debuted in the film industry with the film ‘ Okato Number Kurradu’ in 2002, he recently acted in the web series titled ‘ 9 hours’.

The actor later joined politics and became a leader of TDP, which was founded by his grandfather NT Rama Rao. After the demise of the Nandamuri Taraka Ratna, actors Jr NTR and Kalyanram Nandamuri arrived at the residence of the actor to meet his family and pay him tribute. CM’s of all Telugu states mourned the Taraka Ratna’s demise, PM Modi also condoled the demise of TDP leader.

According to some people Taraka Ratna was physically healthy and the attack was due to mental stress, while others say that he might have collapsed due to sunstroke. The brave actor fought to the death for over 20 days and finally lost the battle at the age of 39.
