The spinners for team India have dominated the early hours of Day 3 of the ongoing match between Australia and India as Australia loses their fifth wicket.
Australia lost 5 wickets with a lead of barely 100 runs after the spinners claimed 4 wickets in the span of an hour of play.
After dominating after claiming the fifth wicket, Ashwin completely overcame the visitors.
Earlier on Day 3 –
Ashwin, a seasoned spinner from India, dominated the early hours after taking two outstanding wickets. In the first over of the day, Travis Head was declared out after wicketkeeper KS Bharat took an outstanding catch.
Followed by Travis, Steve Smith was another target for Ashwin, as the “umpire’s call” in the LBW decision might have retained Australia’s DRS review but Smith had to walk back.
Ravindra Jadeja has bagged in his second wicket of the innings while Australia seem to be in trouble after losing 4 quick wickets.
3 wickets have been claimed by team India on Day 3’s early morning session where Ashwin struck two epic wickets while Jadeja’s “clean bowled” forced ICC’s Number 1 Test batsman to walk back to the pavilion.
Australia are currently leading by 95 runs and are aware that a low-score innings will give an easy target to the hosts.
