Awaited American science fiction action movie Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is based on the Transformers toy line from Hasbro and extensively borrows from the Beast Wars plot. The movie is a standalone sequel to Bumblebee and the eighth in the Transformers film series. The film was written by Joby Harold, Darnell Metayer, Josh Peters, Erich Hoeber, and Jon Hoeber, and it was directed by Steven Caple Jr.

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is now scheduled to open in theatres on June 9, 2023, following a protracted delay. It is over a year after the original 24 June 2022 target release date. There are already plans for two more installments.
