Indian cricket team defeated the first T20I against New Zealand on Friday, 27th January. Despite the loss, the skipper Hardik Pandya was happy for two Indian players. The all-rounder appreciated two other all-rounders of the team and said the players are improving in right direction.

One of the two players is Washington Sundar who played amazingly well in the first T20I on Friday. Sundar scored 50 off 28 balls and took 2 wickets in his 4 overs spell in the first innings. Washington Sundar could have been named man of the match as his performance was spectacular. He nearly won it for India in the first game. Hardik Pandya praised the all-rounder along with Axar Patel. Axar wasn’t the part of the team in the first T20I but is been in a good run of form for India lately.

“He’s a very big plus and we’re looking for someone who can bat and bowl. Axar is there and he [Washington] is there right now. If these two guys keep continuing the way they’re batting, it’s going to help for the Indian team,” said Hardik Pandya as reported by ESPNcricinfo.com.
