At one time, New Zealand were 15/5 and it was a brilliant bowling performance from India in the powerplay. However a good partnership from Bracewell and Philips took the score past 50 for the visitors. After Bracewell gone, Santner made a 40+ run partnership with Philips.
India wanted the breakthrough and Hardik Pandya gave it in the 30th over. Hardik Pandya dismissed Santner to break the partnership. Seeing 15/5, 100 runs was looking impossible for New Zealand but they managed to get past 100.
