Manchester City and Chelsea FC were up against each other again in the same week but this time in the domestic league named FA Cup. The tie didn’t go as fans expected as City marched on in the game. It was a totally dominating game for the defending champions of English Premier league Manchester City.

Man City has again crushed Chelsea, first in the English Premier League and then in FA Cup on Sunday, 8th January at Etihad. It all started with Riyad Mahrez whose free-kick gave the lead to the host. A handball from Chelsea’s striker Kai Havertz gave away a penalty to the home side. World Cup winner Julian Alvarez took the penalty and scored his first in the 30th minute of the game.

The third goal also came in the first half which was scored by Phil Foden. Man City dominated Graham Potter’s men in all aspects. Later in the second half, Riyad Mahrez’s penalty goal sealed the game. Man City are now in the fourth round of the FA Cup after knocking Chelsea out.
