COVID-19 has affected millions of lives in India and continues to do so. The cases are at an all-time high and the economy is depleting by the day. The negative effects are reaped by the Hindi film industry as well. The shootings have been cancelled and the size of the crew has been decreased dramatically. This includes the background dancers who lit every song up. Even when the shoots will resume, many dancers will not be hired for a song shot. So, to support them in these hard times, actor Hrithik Roshan has come to their rescue.
Hrithik is known to be one of the best dancers in Bollywood and is extremely passionate about dancing.
Reportedly, he has financially helped 100 dancers by depositing money in their bank accounts.
A dance coordinator for songs, Raj Surani confirmed the news. He said “Hrithik Roshan has aided 100 dancers in this difficult time. Several of them have travelled to their villages, while few are finding it difficult to pay rent and one dancer’s family has tested positive for Covid-19, Hrithik Roshan’s help to all of them has come at a very crucial time.” He also added that the dancers were ecstatic to see messages saying Hrithik Roshan had transferred money to their bank accounts. Hrithik had coordinated with choreographer Bosco Martis to get the details of the dancers.
Many Bollywood personalities have come ahead to support the vulnerable groups of the industry. Recently even Varun Dhawan and Shahid Kapoor had helped dancers financially. Actor, Sonu Sood has directed his daily routine to help migrant workers and has done exceptional work.
