English Premier League’s last fixture in the 16th matchweek was between Manchester City and Leeds United. The game was played on Wednesday night, 28th December at Elland Road (Leeds United’s home ground). Manchester City won the game easily by 3-1 against Leeds and Haaland was again named as ‘man of the match’.
Erling Haaland scored 2 goals in this game which came in the second half. Haaland didn’t play games for 1 and a half month as he wasn’t in the FIFA World Cup. Erling Haaland also became the fastest player ever to score 20 goals in the Premier League. Despite hitting this milestone, Manchester City’s manager thinks Erling Haaland is not at this top.
Haaland scored two amazing goals and still the manager thinks he can improve and needs to be sharper in order to make the team better in front.
“Haaland is not at his top, he can be sharper so we can do better,” said Pep Guardiola in the post-match presentation as reported by Fabrizio Romano via his official Twitter handle.
