Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has promoted India’s all-rounder Hardik Pandya’s role in the team. Hardik Pandya has been named as full-time vice-captain of Indian cricket T20I and ODI team. The BCCI decided to make the Gujarat Titans’ the vice-captain ahead of the Sri Lankan series.

Indian team have also announced their squad to face Sri Lanka in the three-match T20Is and ODIs. The series will be starting next year. Hardik Pandya will be leading the Indian T20I squad against Sri Lanka. He was named vice-captain for ODIs. The decision was made on Wednesday, 28th December and BCCI posted it on their official website and their social media handles as well.

Hardik Pandya has won the IPL trophy in his first IPL season as captain. He has also captained India in some of the series and did well as a leader.
