The 5-time Ballon D’or winner and Portuguese legend revealed some shocking truths about his past few months at Manchester United and shook the whole world. He has since been both loved and hated. Loved for his being outspoken, frank and bringing forward harsh truths and hated for being extremely critical and brutal about the manager and the ex-club legends.

Today, he spoke to the media without prior information which came as a shock according to reporter Jeremy Wilson from The Telegraph.

On being asked about why he chose to interview at this time specifically before the world cup was gathering hype he said, “Timing is always timing. From your side, it is easy to look at how we can choose timings. Sometimes you write truths, and sometimes you write lies. I don’t have to worry about what others think. I talk when I want to. Everybody knows who I am, what I believe in.” according to Jeremy Wilson.

He even went on to say that he is “bulletproof” and persuaded the media to stop disturbing the Portuguese players about the possibility of any kind of rift happening in the dressing room as a result of the interview. He clarified that the “cold moment”, as claimed by many, between him and Bruno was just a joke where the latter was late and the former joked about him using a boat for transport as a reason.

The Euro winner gave a witty reply to a reporter who questioned him about whether the World Cup could settle the GOAT debate. “Even if I win the World Cup that will continue. Some people like me more, some less. It’s like in life, some like blondes, some like brunettes.”

Cristiano looks very optimistic and confident ahead of the world cup, something which he had even said in his interview. Football fans are very eager to say he lifted the world cup and ultimately fit the missing piece of the puzzle of his career.
