There will be no activity on Dalal Street from 9:15 AM to 3:30 PM as a result of the Diwali celebration that is being celebrated across the nation. During regular trading hours, trading at the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) would remain closed. For the Muhurat trading session, the market will be open from 6:15 PM to 7:15 PM.
There won’t be any activity in the Equity Segment, Equity Derivative Segment, or SLB Segment today during its regularly scheduled morning to evening timings, according to the list of stock market holidays 2022 published on the BSE website, www.bseindia.com. On October 24, 2022, the equity and commodity markets will both be open for Muhurat trading. The schedule for Muhurat trade in 2022 has been set for 6:15 PM to 7:15 PM.
The trading at the Interest Rate Derivatives segment and Currency Derivatives segment will likewise be suspended during its planned time, in accordance with the list of stock market holidays in October 2022.
During its regularly scheduled morning and evening sessions, trading in the segment for commodity derivatives will also be suspended. However, it will also be open from 6:15 PM to 7:15 PM during the Muhurat trading period.
This is the second stock market holiday in October, according to the calendar of stock market holidays for 2022. Due to the Dussehra celebration, trading at the BSE and NSE was suspended on October 5, 2022. The following stock market holiday is set on October 26, 2022, in honour of Diwali Balipratipada. There are 16 stock market holidays in 2022, and the following two, on October 26 and November 8 of that year, will add to the list. For Diwali Balipratipada on October 26, the stock market is closed. For Gurunanak Jayanti on November 8, 2022, there will be no trading on the NSE or BSE.
Last week’s Friday saw the Indian stock market close higher for the sixth session in a row. While the BSE Sensex soared 104 points and concluded at 59,307 levels, the Nifty 50 index increased 12 points to close at 17,576 levels.
