Rhea Chakraborty who has been coming into a lot of news and controversies after the demise of Sushant Singh Rajput, lodged a complaint with the Mumbai Police who have filed an FIR against two Instagram users for threatening the actress. Lately, she has been receiving a lot of death threats, rape threats and abuses on her social media handles. Rhea had also shared few screenshots of her Instagram chat box, of a certain abusive and threatening messages.
According to a report from Mid-Day, Santacruz police station’s senior inspector Shriram Koregaonkar told that, “We registered the First Information Report (FIR) on Saturday under Indian Penal Code Sections 507 (criminal intimidation by an anonymous communication), 509 (intending to insult modesty of any woman) and relevant provisions of the Information Technology Act.” The cops are taking the help of cyber crime department to track the accused and the investigation is still at it’s preliminary phase.
