The stands in the stadium were given the titles Harbhajan Singh and Yuvraj Singh by the Punjab Cricket Association just before the inaugural T20 International match between India and Australia on Tuesday at the stadium. Yuvraj and Harbhajan attended the historic event in the stadium alongside Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
In addition to Yuvraj and Harbhajan, the PCA also honoured Mahesh Inder Singh, Bhupinder Singh (sr), Bharti Vij, Vikram Rathour, and Harvinder Singh for their significant contributions to Punjab cricket.
The North Pavilion of the PCA Stadium is named after Yuvraj, while the Terrace Block honours legendary spinner Harbhajan.
