The Crown’s producers just made the casting announcements for the sixth season of their well-liked political television programme. According to a Variety story, three new actors have been chosen to portray Prince William and Kate Middleton in the upcoming season of the show.
According to the article, Ed McVey, 21, and Rufus Kampa, 16, have been chosen to portray the youthful Prince William. Rufus Kampa will play him at the age of 15 as he deals with the death of his mother, Diana. Ed McVey will portray his early adult years when he courted the future Duchess of Cambridge after first meeting her in 2001 at St. Andrews. In contrast, Meg Bellamy will portray Kate Middleton in the sixth season of the show.
Imelda Staunton will play Queen Elizabeth in the upcoming fifth season of The Crown, which will also feature an entirely new cast that includes Lesley Manville as Princess Maragret. Jonathan Pryce as Prince Philip, Elizabeth Debicki as Princess Diana, Dominic West as Prince Charles, Senan West, West’s son. Teddy Hawley, and Will Powell as young Prince Harry at various ages.
Season six will follow the history of the British monarchy up to the early 2000s, according to Deadline. Each episode of The Crown has so far covered around a decade. The final decade of the century, which saw numerous changes for the royal family, will be covered in Seasons 5 and 6.
