The Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) chose former India fast bowler Aavishkar Salvi as its senior men team’s head coach on Tuesday, almost two months after inviting applications for coaching roles of state teams of various age groups.
Shiv Sundar Das will assist Salvi during the forthcoming season as the batting coach for the Punjab senior men’s squad. For almost a year, Das has been a part of the Indian women’s cricket squad. Beginning on September 22, two Punjabi teams will compete in the JP Atray cricket competition. Prior to the competition, Salvi will arrive at the Punjab players’ camp on September 4.
