Afghanistan once again gets an easy target and once again it’s the bowling unit who took the responsibility of taking down the pressure. It is now in the hands of the batting unit to finish off the game which was dominated by Afghanistani spinners.
The Afghanitsani spinners made the job easier tonight as Rashid Khan and Mujeeb ur Rahman managed to bag in 3 wickets each.
Rashid Khan during the inning break explained the pitch’s reaction and how it helped the team to take on early wickets.
“ I’m just trying my best for the team. The key is to keep it consistent for the team. I think it is pretty hard on this wicket to hit off the backfoot – the ball is keeping low. So that’s something we had in our mind, to keep the ball back of a length. We need to play with the same mindset in the second innings, go out there, enjoy and express ourselves,: said Rashid Khan.
