When India plays Pakistan in their opening game of the 2022 Asia Cup on Sunday, Virat Kohli will be the focus of both the crowd and the media.
The seasoned batsman will return after a break of more than a month, during which he missed India’s tours of the West Indies and Zimbabwe.
In an interview with ESPNcricinfo, Cheteshwar Pujara, a part of India’s Test team, was asked who will have a bigger impact on the upcoming match: the former India captain or Babar Azam.
“Obviously Virat Kohli. The runs he has scored for us, is very good. But then the form Babar Azam is in, it will be hard to take his wicket. We will need to work hard. The way he has been performing, he is a top player”, Pujara said.
