The Pakistan Cricket Board announced the schedule for England’s Test tour of Pakistan in December of this year. The three-match series, which counts toward the World Test Championship, will be played at Rawalpindi, Multan, and Karachi.

The three Tests will mark the second phase of England’s tour and will mark the first Test series played in Pakistan in 17 years. From September 20 to October 2, seven T20Is that make up the first leg will be contested in Karachi and Lahore.

“We are pleased that Pakistan and England Test rivalry, which has historically produced close and tight matches, will return to our backyards in December. Both the sides have evolved since they last played in Pakistan in 2005 and have recently been playing entertaining and exciting cricket. I remain confident this series will live up to the expectations of the global cricket fans who want to watch and enjoy competitive and thrilling matches,” said Zakir Khan, PCB Director – International Cricket.
