Taapsee Pannu and Anurag Kashyap have been busy filming their new flick Dobaaraa. When Taapsee was recently compared to Akshay Kumar for completing a lot of films like him, she claimed that her pay packet doesn’t meet his and that he makes a lot more. Anurag said that Akshay is the world’s sixth-richest actor.
Anurag Kashyap directed and Ekta Kapoor produced Dobaaraa. The film will be released in theatres on August 19. After the 2018 success Manmarziyaan and the biographical drama Saand Ki Aankh (2019), this is Anurag and Taapsee’s third collaboration.
Siddharth Kannan recently informed Taapsee that he noticed a tweet labelling Taapsee a “woman Akshay Kumar” for filming so many films. When Taapsee heard this, she said, “I would accept this accolade humbly if my income matches his; until then, please don’t do that.” He is the greatest earner and the largest tax payer, and yet mere ko itne nahi milte (I am not paid that much).” Hearing this, Anurag said, “He is the world’s sixth richest actor.” “I am not even close,” Taapsee responded when she heard this.
According to Forbes India, Akshay Kumar is the sole Indian on Forbes US’s list of the World’s Highest Paid Celebrities in 2019. He came in at number 33 with earnings of $65 million (517 crore). In 2020, Akshay was rated sixth among the world’s highest-paid actors. According to the magazine, Akshay earns $48.5 million ( 385 crore) every year, with the majority of his income coming from product endorsements.
