Pat Cummins of the Kolkata Knight Riders sent a message to fans through his official twitter page after being ruled out for the rest of the IPL 2022 season. “Sad to leave the IPL early. Thanks for everything Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR),” he tweeted.

Following KKR’s announcement that Pat Cummins will miss the rest of the season, the team’s official social media account posted a video of his teammates wishing him farewell before the Australian star thanked everyone for their support.

“I just want to say a huge thanks to everyone. It’s great to be based out of the side similar to last year. It feels like you coming back home. Thanks for looking after the family and to everyone, players, staff, hotel staff. It’s been a great 5-6 weeks. All the best for the last few games. I’ll be cheering on. Hopefully, we make the finals too,” said Pat Cummins.

Pat Cummins got seven wickets in five matches for the Kolkata Knight Riders this season. With the ball, he had a match-winning effort against Mumbai Indians, taking three wickets for 22 runs. Pat Cummins shone with the bat in the previous IPL 2022 match, smashing the Mumbai Indians bowlers all over the pitch to register a 15-ball half-century and help his team win.
