Legendary Comedian and actor Jagdeep who was 81 took his last breath in Mumbai last evening. He was going through some age-related ailments. The late actor is well known for his work in Bollywood as Soorma Bhopali in the superhit movie Sholay. Jagdeep took his last breath at his residence in Mumbai around 8:30 pm on Wednesday, July 8.
Mehmood Ali who is very close to Jagdeep’s family stated that the late actor will be laid to rest in South Mumbai at 11:30. Still, there’s no official statement from any family member on this matter.
Actor and comedian Javed Jaaferi was spotted outside his house while leaving with his family for his late father’s funeral in South Mumbai.
As the news of the late actor’s demise came out many Bollywood celebrities took to their social media handles and shared their grief and also thanked him for making them laugh for years. Ajay Devgn, Anil Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Anupam Kher, Raveena Tandon, Arshad Warsi, Pooja Bhatt, Randeep Hooda, John Abraham, Javed Akhtar and several fans shared posts as a tribute to the late comedian.
Jagdeep had an everlasting career, he was first seen as a child artist in B.R Chopra’s Afsana. The late actor has been starred in more than 400 films like Bramhachari, Sholay, Qurbani, Shahenshah, Andaz Apna Apna and several others.
The late actor and comedian is survived by his two sons Javed Jaffry, Naved Jafri, wife and daughters.
