Despite his dismal batting performance (only 9 runs in ten deliveries), Virat Kohli has taken a perfect catch to dismiss Trent Boult of the Rajasthan Royals, which has got no time for reaction but was outstanding.
Virat Kohli failed to move yet again, departing after scoring just nine runs, giving RCB an early blow in the 145-run chase.
A legside Prasidh Krishna delivery rattled Virat Kohli for pace. As he curved to pull, he got a small edge on his helmet, and the ball misplayed up to Riyan Parag at touch. The umpire appeared to be unsure, but Kohli didn’t actually make it any more difficult for him by opting to walk off.
On 23, Faf du Plessis was removed for a duck, while Glenn Maxwell was dismissed for a golden duck. R Ashwin joined the party soon after, cleaning up Rajat Patidar on 16. Rajasthan had a bad start earlier in the evening after being asked to bat first. Devdutt Padikkal and Jos Buttler, the squad’s openers, failed to get the team off to the start they had hoped for. Sanju Samson put up a fight, but he was fired on July 27.
Shimron Hetmyer also went cheaply, putting up only three runs. Mohammed Siraj, Josh Hazlewood, and Wanindu Hasaranga each took two wickets in the match. Harshal Patel chose one as well, but Prasidh Krishna was removed.
What a catch taken by Virat Kohli. Reaction time almost none, but he is so quick. Outstanding Virat Kohli. pic.twitter.com/C2y3pSwsUW
