Jos Buttler and Devdutt Padikkal break Ben Stokes and Sanju Samson’s 152-run opening run partnership in 2020 for Rajasthan royals with 155 runs in the 34th match of the IPL 2022 against Delhi capitals.

Jos Buttler scored his third IPL century of the season, putting a strain on the DC bowlers with his casual stroke play. Before being removed for 54 runs, Devdutt Padikkal had scored a magnificent half-century. After being invited to bat first by Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Friday in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, both batters dominated the DC bowlers to make a promising start. Both openers overpowered the DC bowlers, hitting them all over the field.

As they went on to ravage the whole DC bowling attack, IPL 2022 orange cap holder and Padikkal also achieved the first 100-run opening partnership in the 15th edition of the T20 tournament.
