Alt Balaji and MX Player’s Lock Upp proved to be a hugely popular show that made daily news. The show’s final episode is set to air in the second week of May, with one celebrity being crowned the winner. Let me inform you that the show’s first finalist, Shivam Sharma, has already been selected.
That isn’t to say that the programme is without flaws. During an Instagram live session, Karanvir Bohra, who was just ousted from the competition, talked about his experience on the show. Teejay, his wife, was also present for the meeting.
Karanvir stated that the programme will cost all of the contestants their mental health and that he is relieved to be done with it. Even though he attempted to be “as badass as he could,” the actor stated he could never sacrifice his dignity for the game. He said, “I am really glad that I am out of this show. It reached a point where I couldn’t do it.
Later on, he also pointed out the use of violence against women and abusive language. He also mentioned how Anjali backstabbed Munawar in a recent Arena episode. Teejay, Karanvir’s wife, also backed her husband’s sentiments, claiming that the show is becoming “ugly and nasty.”
Karanvir went on to explain how Lock Upp is for individuals who have nothing to lose, saying, “This world is there for winning. They will do anything. People will kill, murder, put their izzat at stake to win. But sorry, we have a family. We have work to look forward to. I have made a name for myself in the industry for the past 20-22 years. I don’t want to let it go for the game. People who have nothing to lose, the show is for them.”
