Devdutt Padikkal, the brilliant southpaw, added to his impeccable record by scoring 1000 IPL runs. He had hit 1998 runs in the cash-rich league before the 30th match of the IPL 2022 season against Kolkata Knight Riders on Monday.
Padikkal scored 101 off 52 deliveries for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) the previous season, the quickest century by an uncapped player in the IPL. Before the Rajasthan Royals bought him in the February auction, he finished the season with 411 runs at a 31.61 average.
Padikkal is the tied third-fastest Indian in the ipl T20 tournament to achieve the 1000-run mark. To tie Rishabh Pant’s record, he reached the milestone in in 35 innings.
After being sent into bat against the Kolkata Knight Riders in Match 30 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 season at the Brabourne Stadium on Monday, Rajasthan Royals have gotten off to a strong start with opening batsmen Jos Buttler and Devdutt Padikkal.
