Gujarat Titans’ Hardik Pandya became the first Indian to knock 100 quick sixes in 1076 balls, placing himself in third place of the list after Andre Russell and Kieron Pollard.
The 2022 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has given new captaincy position to a handful Indian players, including famous all-rounder Hardik Pandya, who is now guiding the Gujarat Titans, the tournament’s only unbeaten squad.
Hardik has taken on a new role with the bat for the Gujarat franchise, batting at No.4 rather than No.5 or 6 at which he played for the Mumbai Indians and Team India in the T20 format.
Hardik Pandya is a strong batter and a quick bowling all-rounder who checks all the boxes that a team looks for in an all-rounder. After a good run in the IPL 2015, it was no surprise that he was fast-tracked into the Indian ODI and T20 team. He smashed a six off the first ball he faced in his IPL debut against RCB. However, his true potential was revealed when he led Mumbai Indians to win over CSK with a quick-fire eight-ball 21 when the team required 30 from two overs.
