Bangalore Royal Challengers Harshal Patel has an incredible record against Mumbai Indians, having taken 32 wickets in the league. In addition, he has a hat trick and a fifer against the Mumbai Indians.
Harshal, who won the Purple Cap last season for his astounding 32 wickets – the joint-most in a single IPL season – has had a fantastic start to the season, picking up four wickets in RCB’s opening three games. Harshal bowled brilliantly to end with a miserly 2/18 against Kolkata Knight Riders and 1/18 from four overs against RR while bowling against big hitting hitters Jos Buttler and Shimron Hetmyer, despite the fact that his numbers of 1/36 came in a losing cause.
He also tied Dwayne Bravo for the most IPL wickets in a single season. He scored a hat-trick against Mumbai Indians, the five-time IPL winners (MI). The Challengers, however, surprised everyone by releasing Patel before the blockbuster auction on February 12 and 13. Kohli, Australia’s Glenn Maxwell, and teenage bowler Mohammed Siraj were chosen instead.
