An unfavorable yet good record by KL Rahul raises the benchmark for the opening batsman. After leading Punjab Kings in the earlier season, the Indian opening batsman is with Lucknow Super Giants as a skipper. In a debut match of both the franchises – Gujarat Titans & Lucknow Super Giants – KL Rahul got out early against the fire-breathing spell by Mohammad Shami. He was out on duck after nearly six years. Earlier, KL Rahul was out on duck against Gujarat Lions in 2016.
