Kylian Mbappe has been a huge interest for Real Madrid for a long time. The club was very close to signing the France professional but things didn’t go as planned by President Florentino Perez. The Paris Saint-Germain forward is expected to sign for the Whites as a free transfer after his contract expires this summer.

According to football expert and Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano’s recent post, Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr are the players included in Real Madrid’s “long term project” and “that’s what Florentino Perez wants.”

Meanwhile, Leonardo, PSG sporting director says they will be everything to keep Mbappe. On the other hand, Kylian wants to win a Champions League which doesn’t really seem to be possible with the Ligue 1 side no matter how many goals he scores for them. The 23-year-old netted in both, away and home games for the Champions League against Real Madrid, but they weren’t enough to save themselves from elimination.

Karim Benzema’s hat trick at the Santiago Bernabeu powered Los Blancos knock out PSG from the tournament and it doesn’t go well with the fans. According to reports, Lionel Messi and Neymar Jr were booed by PSG fans at their Ligue 1 game after the elimination from UCL. The Argentine has only scored two goals while Neymar often stays sidelined following injuries.
