The interim coach of the Red Devils has been criticized for failing to win over the star player, however, he has no problems with the Portuguese forward.
Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick has denied allegations that he does not have the complete backing of Portuguese ace Cristiano Ronaldo, insisting that he does not need to question the five-time Ballon d’Or winner if he is delighted.
For some time, rumours regarding a prospective transfer away from Old Trafford for an all-time greatest have been swirling, with those rumours hitting a fever pitch after the star striker was ruled out of a derby match against Manchester City due to an alleged injury.
Ronaldo flew to his home for some mid-season leisure and fun rather than joining his squad at the Etihad Stadium as to what turned out to be a humiliating 4-1 defeat, raising major questions about why he was away and how long a second spell with the Red Devils will endure.
The German coach, who is only in command of United till the end of the season, was then questioned if Ronaldo is disappointed with life at a club that is battling to finish in the top four in 2021-22.
“I don’t know, I’ve not asked him if he’s happy. For me, he must be fit again. We will see with which formation and lineup we will play tomorrow.”, Rangnick remarked as reported by Fabrizio Romano.

When Ronaldo returned to United in the summers of 2021, he inked two contracts and now has 15 goals in 30 outings this campaign, but it needs to be seen whether a favourable contract in Manchester will be fulfilled by all sides.
