Swapnil Shinde now recognized as Saisha Sinde is a 39-year-old celebrity fashion designer, Saisha has a graduate degree from the National Institute of Fashion Technology and a diploma in Fashion Style from Milan, Italy. Shinde tasted success for the first time when she was chosen as the first runner-up in the reality TV show, “Lakme Fashion House”. Her hard work was appreciated and was awarded a six-month internship at the House of Versace, which is considered as one of the most well-known Italian fashion brands. It was there that she understood what her true aesthetics were and the field she wanted to get into.

She is a very well-known and reputed name in the film industry. In Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor’s multilingual movie, ‘Saaho’ Shinde designed all of Shraddha Kapoor’s dresses and is a regular fashion designer of Kareena Kapoor Khan and Deepika Padukone who wore her designs in the IIFA Film Festival.

In the Year 2015, She participated in the famous American TV show ‘Project Runway Season 14’. The show was aired on 6th August 2015 where supermodels Heidi Klum, Marie Claire, Nina Garcia, and Zac Posen judged the show. she was amongst the designer contestants of the season and was placed at the 6th position in the show. People loved her works on the show and hyped her over various platforms.
Recently Shinde changed her name on her documents like her PAN and Aadhaar cards after this she was really happy with the accomplishment she said,’ For most transgender or non-binary people, having their names changed on official documentation can be an uphill task. But I come from a certain level of privilege; I’ve had an illustrious career in fashion and film. So, I haven’t been through even one percent of the battle that trans men and women deal with day in and day out.’
She further added “To see my female gender and name was like a rebirth. I felt a sense of pride that I live in a country where this option is available. Here I was holding legal documents that not even a lot of first-world countries offer. I felt thankful to India for letting me be myself.”
Currently, the fashion designer is seen in Kangana Ranaut’s hosted show Lock Upp.
