WEi has confirmed a March comeback and is in the last phases of work, according to authorities on February 25th. It is their first return in nine months, dating back to June 2021.
The last album, ‘Identity: Action,’ signalled the series’ conclusion, and this time it will present a new aspect.
With the last album, WEi demonstrated the quick rise of 4th-generation idols by selling 64,000 copies in Initial Chodong sales (counted one week after album sales). This time, WEi introduces a new series with a more mature song and performance. The members contributed to a lot of tracks on the last album, so expectations are high this time as well.
Oui Entertainment created WEi, a six-member South Korean boy band. Jang Daehyeon, Kim Donghan, Yoo Yongha, Kim Yohan, Kang Seokhwa, and Kim Junseo make up the group. The group debuted on October 5, 2020, with the release of their first EP, ‘Identity: First Sight.’
WEi released their second EP Identity: Challenge on February 24, 2021, with the lead track ‘All Or Nothing.’ After this, they released their third EP Identity: Action and its lead track ‘Bye Bye Bye’ on June 9, 2021.
WEi released the promotional track ‘Starry Night (Prod. Dress)’ for the mobile application Universe on October 1, 2021, through Universe Music.
