Kai Po Che actor Sushant Singh Rajput left for heavenly abode on 14th June this year. The actor died by suicide and the news fueled some major debates in the industry. Many started coming forward with their side and theories. Mumbai Police went forward with the investigation and has recorded statements of people linked with the late actor.
As soon as the news broke out on social media, the outrage of netizens took over the internet and everyone suspected foul play. But as per the officials, the final post mortem report has confirmed that Sushant died due to asphyxia, suffocation, because of hanging.
After the post-mortem, the police filed for Sushant’s viscera for further chemical analysis to JJ Hospital in Mumbai, which came out Tuesday evening. Reports on Zee News revealed that the viscera report was found negative for any kind of suspicious chemicals or poison.
Meanwhile, the police are investigating the case from every angle including professional rivalry and personal distrust. Mumbai Police have till now, recorded statements of over 28 people, including Sushant’s Dil Bechara co-star Sanjana Sanghi, director Mukesh Chhabra, Sushant’s rumoured girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and Yash Raj Films’ casting director Shanoo Sharma.
As per reports by IANS, filmmaker Shekhar Kapur’s statement will be recorded soon as part of the investigation. Earlier, the filmmaker had tweeted that he knew the pain that Sushant was going through. Mumbai police is not leaving any stone unturned in the Sushant Singh Rajput’s case.
