The 15 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will consist of 10 teams, including two new franchises, Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants. A sum of 600 players will be going under the hammer during the IPL 2022 mega auction.
The live proceedings of the IPL 2022 meg auction will be held today and tomorrow in Bengaluru, starting from 11 am. The live streaming of the event will be telecasted on Star Sports Network. It will also be streamed live on OTT platforms like Disney+Hotstar.
In the IPL 2022 Mega Auction, only a maximum of 217 cricketers can be bought out of the 600 cricketers shortlisted for the league. The IPL franchises have retained 27 players, including eight overseas, four uncapped Indian players, and six players picked through drafts.
In this year’s IPL mega auction, 1214 players from 19 countries had offered their names for the auction. Out of those, 590 players were shortlisted for the auction. The first 10 marquee players will be put for bidding. After the marquee players, the bidding will shift to the different groups of batsmen, bowlers, wicketkeepers, and all-rounders.

3.) Rajasthan Royals – Rs 62 crores
4.) Punjab Kings – Rs 72 crores (highest)
5.) Sunrisers Hyderabad – Rs 68 crores
6.) Kolkata Knight Riders – Rs 48 crores
7.) Delhi Capitals – Rs 47.5 crores
8.) Royal Challengers Banglore – Rs 57 cores
9.) Lucknow Super Giants – Rs 59 crores
10.) Gujarat Titans – Rs 52 crores.
