Indian cricketer, Sanju Samson who will be leading Rajasthan Royals in the upcoming IPL 2022 believes that IPL mega auctions are very unpredictable.
Samson in an interview with Boria Majumdar from Revsportz said, “I think Auctions is something that is familiar with all of us but being the captain of the side, I’ve got into it a bit more than normal.” He believes that getting to know about the auctions is very exciting and surprising. He salutes the coaches and the supporting staff as all of them have been putting in a lot of hard work and planning.
The 27-year-old said, “I think the auctions are very unpredictable as you know, so we are definitely trying to stimulate a lot of different scenarios and be ready for whatever auctions bring up with.” He feels that the skillset of the players is very important as the trend keeps on changing with new bowlers like left-arm fast bowlers or spinners.
Samson also said that the team is majorly focusing on characters rather than skillsets because if the players have a very brave heart and fearless character, it will definitely bring success.
