Social media is a great platform to reach out to people and establish yourself in one way or the other. On one hand where social media serves as a gate to fame, on the other are social media trials, trolls, cyber bullying and what not. Mostly celebrities are the one’s who become the victim of the later.
Trolling celebrities have become a common practice on social media. Recently it’s victim was TV actor Aashka Goradia who received lewd and sexual comments when she went live on her Instagram.
TV actor Shveta Salve came in rescue for Aashka. Shveta who is in Goa and was attending Yoga class by Aashka started an online chain to fight against social media trolling. Shveta was disturbed and was taken aback on the kind of comments that came for Aashka. Shveta started a camping soon after the live session, she went to cybercrime officials as well.
Shveta took to her Instagram story and decided to report the names of the users passing vulgar comments. “Started my morning with a live yoga class performed and executed by my friends @aashhagoradia @ibrentgoble @apeaceofblueyoga. But what made me stop were the obnoxious, lewd and sexual remarks by a****les who hide behind their faceless accounts. Here is someone practicing her art, directed by her yoga teacher and husband but all that these guys wanna do are talk cheap.” Her story read.
She added another story which said, “I’m done with this bs and we need to take action. Every account that I could take note of will be reported! Bas hogaya bas.”
Shveta shared her thoughts of campaign which was re-shares by Aashka on her Instagram story.
Shevta said to ETimes that trolling has to end and those who are hidden behind anonymous names should be brought to light and should be given punishment. Shveta revealed that this things frighten her for her daughter’s future.
