Tottenham players Giovani Lo Celso and newly signed defender Cristian Romero will be fined by the club for not obeying the orders of the club. Before the International break, the Premier League players were said not to participate in their respective countries’ World Cup qualifiers match that is to be played in North and South America. The American government also made the rules that If the players come to such countries then they will have to quarantine for at least 10 days before the match.

But even after the warning, four players from the Premier League who served for Argentina which include Emi Martinez, Emi Buendia in international football went there, and thus, the match was abandoned as they didn’t follow the COVID-19 guidelines of Brazil. After the suspension of the match between Argentina and Brazil, the players who breached the rules were sent back to the UK as the Argentina national football team confirmed.

The four Premier League players even after flying to the UK cannot join the team. As per the United Kingdom government rules, the players will have to quarantine for 10 days before joining their respective clubs. It means four of them will not be able to feature in their club’s upcoming game. Tottenham’s midfielder Giovani Lo Celsi and defender Cristian Romero are set to miss their Saturday’s clash against Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
