According to a blog that keeps a track of all the new WhatsApp features and updates, WABetaInfo – the platform has begun testing the long-awaited multi-device support feature.

For nearly a year now, WhatsApp has been working on the multi-device support feature. But the recent reports bring new details about this feature. The report states that WhatsApp has started testing the multi-device support feature, which hints at its release in the near future. The testing has begun for both Android and iOS devices.

This new feature, the multi-device support feature will make it easier for users to multitask and switch from one device to another easily. Currently, one WhatsApp account can’t be used on two devices at the same time, unless its WhatsApp Web. if you try to log in your account on a second device, you will be automatically logged out from the first device.

The report further says that WhatsApp is testing the feature with up to four devices logged in simultaneously.

Another handy feature that WhatsApp is bringing is the search by date feature. It will allow users to search for messages by selecting a date. WhatsApp already has an in-chat search functionality and with the addition of the new feature, it will make tracking messages easier! Currently, this feature is in the early stages of development.
