My brother Nikhil fame director, Onir’s production house Anticlock films on Thursday released the official trailer of its movie ‘Shei Shomoy’ (‘Those Days’). The movie is based on the life of Onir’s father Aparesh Dhar. The movie has been officially selected for the Australian premiere at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2021. Shei Shomoy is directed by Madhurima Roy.

The movie revisits the story of Aparesh Dhar, a 90-year-old man who has lived through a lot of extraordinary events in his lifetime. He was in jail for almost 7 years in his young life as a political prisoner in Bangladesh. Now, he lives in Mumbai with his elder son. The movie is a relook at his long career as a political prisoner, teacher, and communist.

The movie stars, Aparesh Dhar himself as the protagonist, Manjushree, Irene Dhar Malik, Onir, Abhishek Dhar, Ashwini Mailk, Trisha, Damini Dhar, Sadhana, Hanif, and Amar.

Onir aka Anirban Dhar, Son of Aparesh Dhar shared the trailer of the movie on his Facebook account and wrote,” A very special film for me as it tells the story of an important Australia-wide Baba’s Life”.
