On Sunday Haryana government extended Covid-induced restrictions till 6 September.

“State Executive Committee extends the Mahamari Alert-Surakshit Haryana for another fortnight from 23 August to 6 September in the state of Haryana,” the government said in an order.

Accordingly, the “No Mask-No Service” rule will also continue in the state, as per the new order. People without a mask will not be allowed to take public transport or to enter into any government and private establishment

Extending the ‘Mahamari Alert- Surakshit Haryana’ for another fortnight, the Manohar Lal Khattar government also directed the responsible authorities to keep a continuous focus on the fivefold strategy – Test, trace, track, vaccinations, and Covid-19 appropriate behaviour – for effective management of the pandemic.

  1. Restaurants, bars, gyms, and spas are allowed to operate with a 50% seating capacity.
  2. All shops and malls are allowed to open with social distancing norms.
  3. Swimming pools are allowed to open with coronavirus protocols.
  4. Clubhouses/restaurants/bars of the Gold courses are allowed to open with a 50% capacity
  5. Conduct of entrance and recruitment examinations by different Universities/Institutes/Government Departments and recruitment agencies are allowed in the state
  6. In indoor spaces, the gathering of up to 50% of the hall capacity is allowed with a ceiling of a maximum of 100 persons whereas in open spaces gathering will be allowed up to 200 persons
