Bayern Munich has confirmed that their Legend and the Germany National team legendary striker Gerd Muller has died at the age of 75 on Sunday. He had many records for the club Bayern Munich and also he won World Cup with Germany National team.
“Today the world of FC Bayern stands still. The German record champions and its entire fan base mourn Gerd Müller who died early Sunday morning at the age of 75,” Bayern Munich said in a statement.
Bayern Munich also mentioned him as the greatest striker ever, they had signed in their club. In their official statement, they mentioned his achievements as a Bayern Munich player and his goals for the club. The club is really sad to announce the death of one of their greatest goalscorer.
“Gerd Müller made history with the German record champions and the German national team. He scored an unbelievable 566 goals in 607 competitive games for FC Bayern and set the unprecedented record of 365 goals in the Bundesliga, he also secured the top scorer seven times,” the club added in their statement.
