You might have thought Bollywood to be the most glamorous industry where actors live in style and have all the luxury in the world? But when we try to dive deep, we realise that there is another side, which is dark. Anupam Kher’s revelation about clinical depression conveys the other side of the story. These actors are just like us. They suffer from depression, anxieties and have issues in their life.
One of the finest actors that Indian cinema has today is Anupam Kher. He has devoted more than 35 years to this industry and played some iconic roles which are still so fresh in our memory. He inspires the younger generation with his wise words on social media.
However, in a recent interview with Zoom, he revealed how he was diagnosed as manic depressive and surrounded himself with medication. He said, “I was clinically diagnosed as manic depressive. I went to the Dr, surrounded myself with medication, and moved on. Friends and family should understand if one is behaving in a lonely manner it is important to get them out of the zone.”
He also shared his anxiety about the on-going pandemic and said to the same portal, “When I was returning from the US, back to India, I never thought that the situation in India related to the Coronavirus pandemic would be so long.”
A few days ago, Anupam Kher shared a video on his social media handle. He completed 39 years in this industry on 3rd June which began back in 1981. In the video he talked about his journey which was full of success and struggles. Have a look at the video.
