Dharmendra Pradhan, the former petroleum minister, had assumed charge of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship as the Cabinet Minister, and Rajeev Chandrasekhar, member of parliament, Rajya Sabha, from Karnataka, took office as Minister of State of Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship on Thursday.

Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey, who was Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship before the cabinet reshuffle of Wednesday, had been present as well on the occasion and extended his best wishes to both the ministers on taking the office.

Mr. Pradhan said that he was committed to strengthening the skilling efforts of the Ministry and equipping the youth with necessary skills to prepare them for the future of work, and creating linkages between skilling and employment as well.

Mr. Pradhan gave his wishes to Mr. Rajeev Chabdraksekhar on his assuming charge as the MoS, he added that he had been looking forward to work together.

Mr. Chandrasekhar mentioned that he was privileged and honored to serve as MoS in the Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Ministry, and he added saying that he would work hard to realize the PM’s vision of a digital, skilled, and new India.

As PM Modi unveiled the new Council Of Ministers on Wednesday, Mr. Pradhan was also given the charge of education. The new Council of Ministers had unexpected high profile exits and expected bump ups for politically meaningful sections to revive the government’s flagging popularity before the key polls.
